This weekend I've had a bit of fun.
I've upgraded Cassandra to 7.0-rc2, rewritten my Thrift Erlang interface as required, and then upgraded again to HEAD, so that I've finally been able to apply CASSANDRA-1072 and can do counter additions in Cassandra without reading the old value first. As this is plenty fast, I no longer have to purge old data to keep things going at a decent speed.
And that means full history for everything.
With full history in place, I had a go at making Flot load old time series when panning, as well as change resolution when zooming in and out.
This is three years of HTTP requests from ClockingIT, my other hobby. It totals at a bit over 650 million web requests.
